- Special tool for quickly and accurately measuring oil pressure on 1.5 L B38 3-cylinder and 2.0 L 4-cylinder BMW and Mini engines where the oil filter cover faces downwards and is equipped with an oil filter drain plug.
- NOTE: For engines with an upward-facing oil filter cover and no drain plug, you will need part number 118522 (similar to BMW 8330 2289603).
- Application:
- The tool is screwed in place of the original oil filter cover drain plug.
- Tightening torque: 6 Nm
- STAHLMAXX oil pressure test adapter has a pre-installed M10x1 connection thread for the oil pressure tester (e.g., part number 117914).
- The test extension and adapter used in the original (similar to 81312357801, 8138043159, 83300496623, 114310) are not required.
- The tool is screwed in place of the original oil filter cover drain plug.
- Evaluation: According to the manufacturer's specifications, oil pressure measurements on these engines must ONLY be performed using a diagnostic tester; therefore, there are no definitive target values. If oil pressure problems are suspected, the mechanic should rely on empirical data – a minimum of 1 bar at idle and a minimum of 2 bar at higher engine speeds should be expected. If the individual oil pressure switches are functioning correctly, they would not activate.
- Suitable for the following engine codes: B32S15A, B36A15A, B37C15A, B38A12A, B38A15A, B38A15F, B38A15MO, B42S20A, B46A20A, B46A20B, B47C20, B47C20A, B47C20B, B47D20A, B48A20A, B48A20B, B48A20E, B48A20F.
- Suitable for the following vehicles:
- BMW: 1 Series (F40), 2 Series (F44, F55, F46), X1 (F48), X2 (F39)
